Picture Day!

Granted, theres always a lot going on in the sports world, but with the Penguins on the way home from Sweden, the Steelers on their bye week, and the Buccos on their 11 month offseason (you know you had them out since May too...) we'll throw a few enjoyable photos and/or links your way to get you through your Tuesday afternoon.

We'll begin with the obligatory Ed Bouchette Weekly Chat Transcript. Is there an angrier tandem of Sportswriters anywhere than Mr. Bouchette and Bob Smizik of the Post-Gazette?

Next up, we have this absolutely brilliant portrayal of NFL players and their South Park counterparts. Thanks to the World of Issac.

This weekend, The Jon, head of your Psycho Ward, along with a significant conglomorate of buddies, will attempt to add their names to the vaunted pantheon of 999 All Stars. The rules are simple. 9 Hot dogs, 9 beers, 9 innings. Order of finish matters not. All who complete the challenge are recognized as all stars. Full coverage, along with success ratio, will follow next week.

Now to the visuals:

Your friend and mine, Jason Bay, sliding home with the winning run in the ALDS. I swear I never knew that they did not award MVP's for the Divisional rounds. If they did, it's a pretty safe bet that Mr. Bay would have been the choice. Hopefully he can continue his hot streak into the ALCS. I'd rather see the Rays represent the AL in the World Series, but think it would be more impressive to have correctly called an MVP.

Found this interesting map from a link on the magnificent uniwatch blog. Click on the Picture to get the full expanded view. I'm sure that plenty of arguments can be made about the validity of each teams fan base in accordance to this map, but it's a fun little thing nonetheless.

Steeler nation, no matter how things turn out over the upcoming rough schedule stretch, just keep in mind...THIS is what we're up against.

Speaking of, word is that not only will Willie Parker and Casey Hampton be back immediately following the bye, but that Brett Keisel will be as well. Excellent news for the Steelers, who already have a 1.5 game lead on the field.

Enjoy the update! New NFL Power Ranings tomorrow hopefully!
